The Helderberg area of Stellenbosch where we are located, is well known for producing some of the highest quality wines in South Africa and because of this is referred to as the golden triangle of Stellenbosch's wine making region. The farms that we visit are all unique, from grand estates to boutique producers and historic homesteads, the wine tractor gives you an opportunity to visit a variety of beautiful estates each with their own unique character and charm. Some of the farms also offer non-alcoholic tasting and pairing options so that even the non-drinkers can have their best day in the winelands.

The most important thing is to enjoy the moment. The wine tractor takes you on an un-hurried journey along the back roads, through the vineyards, past the award winning nguni cattle and blue cranes giving you a unique perspective that only a tractor can. The schedule is designed to give you enough time to enjoy a wine tasting or a snack in one of the many restaurants available, before the tractor picks you up to take you to the next estate. Along the way, our knowledgeable guides will entertain you and teach you interesting facts about the area and the farms that you can visit.
We are more than just a tractor.

We offer a fully guided experience and fun for all ages, with activities for children at most of the farms on the routes. We even have a cupcake service for special events should you be celebrating with us!

Every wine farm that we visit offers a unique atmosphere, the one thing all of them have in common is they are known for producing some of the finest wines in South Africa. With the cool breeze from False Bay, and the sunny north facing slopes of the Helderberg, the area where we are located has gained a reputation for wines of the highest quality and has become known as the golden triangle of Stellenbosch.


The experience starts the minute you arrive, with a welcome taster to enjoy while you wait for the tractor departure.

Our amazing and friendly guides

Many of our guides come to us from the Pinotage Youth development agency, a NGO that trains under-privileged youth in the area on how to enter into the wine industry. Some of our guides are qualified wine-makers who can share their passion and knowledge with our guests, teaching you interesting facts about wines and the wine making process.

    Touring through the farms with a tractor and trailer provides a way to travel between farms along the back roads through the vineyards to get a perspective that is not possible any other way.

    We are conveniently located only 35 minutes from the city and 20 minutes from Cape Town international airport. There is also a daily shuttle that can be arranged in advance from Cape Town CBD.

    Our tractor stops at the farms every 65 - 75 minutes giving guests ample time to enjoy each tasting with out being rushed, as well as enough time to have a meal so you don't get hungry though the day.

    Many of the guests who join us are not necessarily wine drinkers, but come to enjoy the experience and beautiful scenery. There are even some non-alcoholic tasting options at some of the farms on the route.
